Salem Academy And College Appoints Interim President

Susan Henking, a vice president at Salem Academy and College, has been named interim president at the school. 

Henking is currently interim vice president for academic and student affairs and dean of the college. Salem announced on its web page that she will become interim president when President Sandra Doran leaves at the end of the current academic year.

Henking is president emerita of Shimer College. She's also professor emerita of religious studies at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in New York. 

According to a press release, Richard Vinson, a Professor of Religion and Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, will step into the role currently held by Henking.
