Two stories involving lawmakers are trending on social media today: One is from the U.S. House, where lawmakers yesterday voted against a measure that would have protected LGBT employees working for military contractors from discrimination. Republicans voted against the bill, and Democrats shouted “shame” on the House floor in response to the Republican votes. In Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is facing criticism after he elbowed an opposition lawmaker, in an attempt to walk another lawmaker to his seat to get a vote started.
