Staples, Office Depot Call Off Merger After Judge's Ruling

Staples and Office Depot have ended their planned $6 billion merger. The announcement came after a federal judge blocked the deal, siding with the Federal Trade Commission, which had argued that the merger would violate antitrust law and lead to higher prices.
