UNCSA Presents First Annual High School Chamber Brass Competition

This weekend the University of NC School of the Arts will present their First Annual High School Chamber BRASS Competition Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 12:30 – 7:00 pm in Watson Chamber Music Hall. It will feature high school chamber brass groups of 3 – 5 players of like or mixed instrumentation, and they'll be judged by the UNCSA brass faculty who'll also present clinics and perform.  The competition is organized by Brass and Percussion Chair, Trumpet Artist/Faculty Judith Saxton who studied trumpet at David Ford's old alma mater Northwestern University with the late great Bud Herseth who passed away in April of last year.
