This week it's an eclectic musical mix with poetry slam, Kairoff at the Keyboard, plus a nod to some of the unsung heroes behind the music making as well. We begin with “The Luthier's Craft: Instrument Making Traditions of the Blue Ridge” and Bethany Chafin's conversation with Executive Director of the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History, Matt Edwards. Then it's time for spoken word with some of the Triad's most talented young poets. Greensboro's Poetry Project is sponsoring the Gate City Youth Slam Team as they strut their stuff this week at the 16th Annual Brave New Voices International Poetry Festival in Chicago. Kairoff is back at the keyboard with a look at a 19th century American classic. And the Carolina Summer Music Festival teams up with Reynolda House in showcasing still life art and NC composer Kenneth Frazelle.
