The Eastern Music Festival in Greensboro is in full swing. The 52nd season includes a featured performance by world renowned soloist, and Professor of Music at Curtis Institute, Ignat Solzhenitsyn. The concert will be this Saturday night, July 6, at 8:00 p.m.
Ignat will join the Festival Orchestra in a performance of the Piano Concerto No. 1 in C minor by Dmitri Shostakovich. Then on Monday night at 8:00 it's an evening of chamber music with Ignat performing Mozart's Quintet for Piano and Winds in E-flat major, and Robert Schumann's Piano Quartet in E-flat major at UNCG's School of Music, Theatre, and Dance.
