Film at RiverRun Looks at Triad Native's Impact on Esquire Magazine

Thousands of people are visiting Winston-Salem this week for the 15^th annual River Run International Film Festival.  More than 140 films, from 35 different countries are being shown at several venues throughout the city through April 21.

One of the films featured at the event is a documentary called Smiling through the Apocalypse: Esquire in the Sixties. Wake Forest University alumnus Tom Hayes produced and directed the film. WFDD's Keri Brown talked with Hayes by phone from his home in New York City.

Smiling Through the Apocalypse: Esquire in the Sixties will play at the a/perture theater in downtown Winston-Salem on April 17 at 11 a.m. and on April 21 at 12:30 p.m.
