On Wednesday, July 1st, the Eastern Music Festival (EMF) will once again be bringing world-class soloists, music educators, chamber music and orchestral performers and more to Greensboro for the entire month.

Eastern Music Festival Music Director Gerard Schwarz is returning for his 8th season bringing with him many of the world-renowned soloists whom he conducted during his decades long career leading the Seattle Symphony.

EMF 2015 is the entire month of July. With performances literally every night of the week at venues throughout Greensboro and as far away as High Point, it can seem overwhelming to prospective concert-goers. To help guide you through the EMF experience, Triad Arts takes you back stage with some of the EMF students, faculty and soloists who make it one of the country's truly outstanding summer educational institutions and performance festivals (see video above).  It's a unique, behind-the-scenes video tour of EMF: Backstage with Triad Arts @ EMF by WFDD videographer, Quique Rodriguez-Pastor.

And while the Eastern Music Festival is well known across the U.S., many people here in the Piedmont know very little about it. So, in today's Triad Arts we meet EMF violin student Caitlin Edwards, and Music Director Gerard Schwarz for a behind-the-scenes peak at what goes on there.
