If the merger closes next year, Reynolds American will acquire Lorillard's flagship brand Newport as part of a plan to strengthen the Winston-Salem based company. But as the smoke begins to clear on the acquisition deal between the two tobacco companies, many questions remained unanswered like what happens to all of the jobs, especially in Greensboro.
