Danish artist Emil Salto has a fascinating new exhibit titled Light Forms going on at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art.

SECCA Curator Cora Fischer writes “The results of Salto's experiments are carefully modulated interactions with light and shadow: monochromes, photograms, and films. Salto uses light as an agent, through which we can touch on questions of time and space, optics and perception”. Salto says when you experience light in an exhibition like this one, it draws you in in a way that is experienced by both the mind and the body. Salto's mobile work was created in Denmark, but he appreciates the unique dialogue going on between his work and the architecture of the rooms at SECCA.

Salto's incredible solo exhibition Light Forms is free and open to the public. It'll remain on display at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in Winston-Salem through January 5th. Emil spoke with David Ford about his admiration for SECCA, he explains a "Hypercube," and his process for capturing such amazing images.
