It was a heated discussion again Thursday night as the candidates for North Carolina's U.S. Senate seat met in their third and likely final debate.
Senator Kay Hagan (Dem-NC) and Speaker Thom Tillis were joined this time by the Libertarian candidate, Sean Haugh.
Democratic incumbent Hagan and Republican state House Speaker Tillis were joined by Haugh for the debate at a Wilmington television studio.
Tillis and Hagan echoed their previous two debates defending their own legislative records and criticizing the policies of their rival. Each accused the other of failing to fulfill their duties as speaker and senator - Hagan on the Armed Service Committee and Tillis running the State House.
This is Haugh's first debate appearance. He said Thursday he's running to offer an alternative to voters and says he's opposed to continuing war and overspending in Washington.
