Meet the Artist: Poet Terry Kennedy

Terry Kennedy is the author of a collection of poetry titled New River Breakdown out on Greensboro-based Unicorn Press.  Each copy of New River Breakdown, in addition to including the 44 beautiful poems by Terry, is hand-stitched and features one of five original cover designs by area artists.  The designs represent their personal interpretations of Terry's poems.  Terry is one of the featured authors at Bookmarks Festival of Books and Authors. Last year he spoke with Bethany Chafin, and read from his new work. He was joined by Unicorn Press assistant editor and book designer Andrew Saulters.  Terry began with the first poem in his new collection.        

Terry will read from New River Breakdown and Until the Clouds Shatter the Light that Plates Our Lives during Bookmarks Festival of Books and Authors on Saturday, September 6^th from 12:30-1 p.m. during Poetry Corner, and he'll be signing books from 1-1:45 p.m.
