A major manufacturer plans to build a new facility in Guilford County, creating dozens of new jobs.

Pennsylvania-based Clearly Clean Products, LLC is set to invest upwards of $26.9 million in the project.

The company manufactures recyclable plastic food trays for the meat and produce industries. The new Greensboro facility is expected to double its current production capacity and create 80 new jobs with average annual salaries of close to $60,000.

In a statement applauding the announcement, N.C. Commerce Secretary Machelle Baker Sanders called Greensboro “a cornerstone to some of our biggest economic development wins.”

The company is receiving relocation help in the form of a $200,000 grant from the One North Carolina fund, which was created to help local governments attract new economic opportunities. The company must meet certain job creation and investment targets in order to receive the funds.

Guilford County and the city of Greensboro have also approved incentive packages for the company totaling over $700,000.

The project is expected to be completed by December 2028.
