The London band Wolf People is breathing new life into a long tradition of English proggy blues rock, conjuring up the ghosts of sonic forefathers Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Jethro Tull while fitting in a heavy dose of mysticism.

On the final day of last summer's Pickathon, Wolf People played a blistering set at the Woods Stage. This performance of "One By One From Dorney Reach," played in an appropriately forested portion of the festival grounds, is one Druid away from British psych-rock perfection.

The annual Pickathon festival returns August 5-7 at Pendarvis Farm just outside Portland, Ore., with a lineup that features headlining performances from Beach House, Wolf Parade, Jeff Tweedy and Yo La Tengo.
