Weather-related school closings and remote learning days

Due to the winter weather, there are school closings, delays and remote learning days across the WFDD listening area for Thursday, Feb. 20. Gov. Josh Stein has declared a state of emergency, and the National Weather Service predicts a wintry mix.

• District and school closings include: Alamance Burlington School System, Davidson County Schools, The Arts Based School
• Remote learning days include: Alleghany County Schools, Asheboro City Schools, Guilford County Schools, Lexington City Schools, Randolph County Schools, Salem College and Academy, Thomasville City Schools, Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools
• Delayed start times include: Guilford Technical Community College, Elkin City Schools, Forsyth Tech Community College, Rockingham County Schools, Surry County Schools, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Watauga County Schools, Yadkin County Schools
