Brooke Waggoner is like anyone with a day job and a rich other life doing what she really loves: making music. Except Waggoner's day job is in music, too — maybe backing fellow Nashville resident Jack White on keyboards, or fashioning string arrangements for the TV show Nashville.
For the better part of a year, though, she's been working on Sweven, her new self-released album. She lets her classical side out in a deep, arty album that not only rewards repeated listening, but demands it. Start with these two songs, also available on the weekly World Cafe: Next podcast.
