World Cafe Presents: Frankie Lee

Twin Cities alt-country singer Frankie Lee recently released his first full-length album, American Dreamer. His embracing music seems to have been a product of both nature and nurture: His father, who was also a musician, died when Lee was only 12. His dad's friends often took the young Lee to clubs where they were playing, sometimes parking him under the soundboard. He soaked it up and music became his life.

In this session, Frankie Lee is joined by Nashville singer Nikki Lane for a gorgeous duet performance of Neil Young's "The Losing End."
