Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is planning to take two months of paternity leave when his daughter is born. On Nov. 20, he posted on Facebook, “studies show that when working parents take time to be with their newborns, outcomes are better for the children and families.”

His announcement that comes a few months after Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer said she would take just two weeks of maternity leave. Her twin girls are due next month. Derek Thompson of The Atlantic discusses maternity and paternity leave and these announcements with Here & Now’s Indira Lakshmanan.
