The company had first said it would cancel the series after the 2018 season, then suspended filming of those episodes and now has fired Spacey.

Reports say the decision was already in the works before allegations surfaced over the weekend that lead actor Kevin Spacey had attempted to seduce a teenage actor in 1986.

"I'm beyond horrified to hear his story. I honestly do not recall the encounter," Kevin Spacey said in response to allegations.
