The percentage of Americans who believe in a number of antisemitic tropes has spiked in the past three years, according to the results of a recent survey by the Anti-Defamation League.

Last year's numbers were the second highest since the Anti-Defamation League began tracking such incidents in 2017 and represented increasing levels of coordination and mobilization, the ADL says.

The Anti-Defamation League says the gesture that traditionally signals "all is well" has been hijacked by the white power movement and is routinely used in racist memes and other online content.

Hate groups are increasingly relying on flyers to spread their message without publicly revealing the identity of their members.

The Anti-Defamation League annual audit of anti-Semitic incidents found 1,986 such occurrences, including 457 at K-12 schools and 204 on college campuses.

"My instincts tell me this is all part of a coordinated effort," an Ann Arbor police detective tells Michigan Public Radio, discussing threats made in the city.

Twenty-seven Jewish community centers reported receiving bomb threats Wednesday, and 16 received threats Jan. 9. No bombs were found, and the FBI is investigating the source of the threatening calls.
