WW II Vet Parachutes To Raise Money For Ailing Relative

Clarence Turner, 87, was Army Airborne, parachuting into war zones in the Pacific theater during World War Two. According to WLWT news, Turner donned his parachute once more, hoping to raise money for his great-grandson's medical bills. The child recently had a lung transplant.

The company that bought Hostess' business is going to fire its ovens back up, but there will be half as many jobs and they will be nonunion. Still, the news sparked an ecstatic response in this beleaguered town.

Baptist Church In Oklahoma Churns Out Meals For Victims

Hundreds of volunteers have come to Moore, Okla., to help the community following Monday's tornado. Some are helping clear debris, others bringing out water and supplies to people whose homes were damaged or destroyed, and whose lives are in disarray. One group of volunteers is cooking more than 10,000 meals a day.
