Landau's partnership with James Cameron led to a best picture win for 1997's "Titanic." Together they account for some of the biggest blockbusters in movie history, including "Avatar" and its sequel.

James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water led ticket sales in movie theaters for the sixth straight weekend, making it the first film to have such a reign atop the box office since 2009's Avatar.

Avatar: The Way of Water sailed to the top of the box office in its second weekend, bringing in what studios estimate Sunday will be a strong $56 million in North America.
