Swiss police, on behalf of U.S. authorities, arrested soccer federation Vice Presidents Alfredo Hawit and Juan Angel Napout in Zurich. Altogether, 27 officials are now named in the indictment.

Also on Wednesday, FIFA presidential candidate Chung Mong-joon, who is facing his own charges of wrongdoing, said he is planning to sue Blatter for at least $100 million for damages to FIFA.

Major sponsors want Sepp Blatter, who is being investigated for corruption, to step down immediately. He has said he'll leave the job in 2016.
