The 48-hour walkout that began Monday could affect as many as 145,000 passengers. The union representing BA pilots says they want a fairer share of the airline's profits.
"The stolen data did not include travel or passport details," the airline said. But hackers were able to access customers' names, email addresses and credit card information.
A "catastrophic" IT systems failure has disrupted roughly 75,000 British Airways passengers' flights since it struck the company Saturday morning. "We profusely apologize," the airline's CEO said.
The incident prompted calls for more drone regulation, but a U.K. lawmaker now says it probably was not a drone that struck the plane. And an investigation has ended because of a lack of evidence.
