Ed Stack is a gun owner who was a longtime Republican donor. A year after Dick's Sporting Goods became an unlikely corporate face of gun control, it sees the fallout from its policy and lobbying.

A leading sporting goods chain announced Wednesday that it will end sales of all assault-style rifles effective immediately.

Both firms say customers will have to be 21 to buy a gun. Both are also putting new curbs on ammunition purchases in response to the Parkland, Fla., high school shootings.
