Flags will be lowered from Friday through Sunday's sunset in a show of national mourning and remembrance.

An American flag above the White House flew at full-staff early on Monday after the death of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. Later the White House issued a proclamation lowering flags to half-staff.
