President Trump’s administration announced last week that it would allow federal immigration agencies to make arrests at schools, among other places. WFDD’s Amy Diaz spoke to educators in the Triad about their concerns. 

Forsyth County educators rallied and marched to the polls on Saturday for the last day of early in-person voting. Many say public education is on the ballot this year.

Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools requested $20 million from county commissioners this year. But the county’s proposed budget only fulfills about a third of the request — $6.7 million.

Several peaceful demonstrations took place in Winston-Salem over the weekend.
