Esteban Santiago killed five people and injured six when he opened fire in the baggage claim at a Fort Lauderdale airport in 2017. A federal judge called the attack "85 seconds of evil."

Five people were killed and six were injured during the attack. The criminal complaint says Santiago told investigators he planned the assault. If convicted, he could face the death penalty.

Esteban Santiago Ruiz has been indicted on 22 counts related to the five people he allegedly killed in the baggage claim area of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport earlier this month.
