Special Prosecutor Decides Against Re-Charging Former Missouri Governor

Jackson County prosecutor Jean Peters Baker says she won't refile an invasion of privacy charge against Eric Greitens, who was accused of taking a semi-nude photo of a lover against her will.

Eric Greitens, pictured earlier this month, announced his resignation Tuesday as governor of Missouri. The Republican, who is facing an extramarital affair scandal and allegations of campaign finance violations, will step down effective Friday.

Greitens was facing possible impeachment and had been under investigation over allegations that he tried to dodge the state's campaign disclosure laws and to blackmail a former lover.

Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens is seen earlier this month discussing a 2015 extramarital affair. He faces a felony charge of invasion of privacy related to the affair and another of computer tampering.
