The Florida Panthers are Stanley Cup champions and they took the hardest path possible to the title. The Panthers won the first three games of the series, then lost the next three before Monday's win.

An unnamed man has been arrested and charged with suspicion of manslaughter in connection with Johnson's death. He died last month after an opposing player's skate cut his neck during a game.

Interest in cut-resistant neck guards is surging: "That could be one of the positive things that might come out of this terrible tragedy," said Pittsburgh Penguins coach Mike Sullivan.

Johnson's neck was cut by another player's skate during a game Saturday between the Nottingham Panthers and the Sheffield Steelers of England's Elite Ice Hockey League. He was 29.
