Knife Attack

A knife-wielding man attacked a group of elementary school children as they were boarding a school bus at about 7:45 a.m. local time in the city of Kawasaki, according to news reports.

A knife-wielding woman injured at least 14 children at a kindergarten in the western Chinese city of Chongqing, police say. A suspect is in custody.

Police fatally shot the knife-wielding assailant Saturday night, who reportedly yelled "Allahu akbar," the Arabic phrase for "God is great."
