A student opened fire in a cafeteria in Washington state on Friday, killing another student. A second wounded teenager died on Sunday, hospital officials said.

Students of Marysville-Pilchuck High School describe a desperate scene — and in at least one case, a teacher is being credited with helping to prevent more killing.

Television images showed students running out of the Marysville, Wash., high school with their hands up. A local hospital said it had received four victims; three of them are in critical condition.
