Murder hornets

Entomologists confirm the report of the world's largest hornet — a worrisome invasive species that originates from East Asia and Japan — by a person in a rural area near the Canadian border.

Because of its withered condition and the fact that male giant hornets don't typically emerge until July, officials believe the hornet was likely from a previous season and just recently found.
