Danish parliament voted Thursday to prohibit certain garments that cover people's faces in public. Human rights groups say it "violates the rights to freedom of expression and religion."

The bill, passed by the province's legislature, would effectively ban face coverings worn by Muslim women at any time they are giving or receiving public service.
