Pigeon River Gorge

​​​​​​​As post-Helene recovery efforts continue, state Department of Transportation workers remain busy reconstructing Interstate 40 along the Tennessee-North Carolina border. That roughly 9-mile stretch of highway could reopen as soon as next month.
