Pilot Mountain Police Department

The town of Pilot Mountain has officially fired three police officers after concluding its weeks-long investigation into departmental corruption.

Town officials say officers repeatedly charged a nonprofit to provide security at events, and then pocketed the money. 

A release issued by the town Tuesday said Chief of Police Robbie Jackson had been placed on leave with pay “as the town investigates the Pilot Mountain Police Department.”
