New CFPB chief closes headquarters, tells all staff they must not do 'any work tasks'

The edict comes as Russell Vought takes over at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Vought has ordered work to halt at the consumer finance watchdog and is cutting off new funding.

President Trump said on Wednesday that Acting Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought will be nominated as the office's permanent director.
