The crash last November off the coast of Japan killed eight. The Air Force said the pilot decided to keep flying rather than heed multiple warnings that he should land.

Air Force officials say the service simply lacks the resources it needs to face all the jobs it is called upon to perform. The Air Force is proposing a 25 percent increase in the number of squadrons.

Three Army non-commissioned officers have been removed from their posts on the White House Communications Agency. They allegedly had inappropriate contact with foreign women when in Vietnam.
