A court in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where alleged sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein had a home, is considering how to set up a compensation fund for his accusers.
Teachers, a fisherman, stay-at-home moms, an off-duty police officer. Many of the victims of the Las Vegas attack are being remembered for the love they showed their families and the lives they lived.
The May 2015 derailment left eight people dead and more than 200 others injured. Attorneys say the agreement means their clients will receive money more quickly than if the case were to be litigated.
The victims ranged in age from 26 to 60, according to the sheriff's office. "We must stand strong and offer support to each individual affected by this senseless attack," Sheriff John McMahon said.
