The Trump administration is preparing tariffs on billions of dollars in imports from Europe in retaliation for subsidies of Airbus jets. The levies would hit products ranging from aircraft to wine.

The complaint comes less than a week after the Trump administration published a preliminary list of more than 6,000 Chinese products that it wants to hit with new tariffs.

The EU will take its complaint over new U.S. tariffs to the World Trade Organization, according to Cecilia Malmström, the European commissioner for trade. Malmström spoke at a news conference Friday in Brussels.
