4/10/2020. "His grandfather in Greensboro helped him virtually identify the birds as chickadees, possibly black-capped. We rush out onto the porch every morning to (respectfully) check on them. It gives our family of four something to look forward to while remaining at home. A symbol of nature and life continuing on. When asked why he took the photograph (with his father's phone), Henrik simply replied: 'So people can see it.' We hope you like it."

4/17/2020. "Owls are nesting in a tree in our neighbor's yard in Buena Vista. Just before dusk, this little owlet was silently waiting for his (or her?) parent to come back with dinner."

8/14/2020. "I saw this tree near Walnut Cove. It attracted my attention with its unique shape and I loved the beautiful background. Countryside, mountains, and barns. Very peaceful. It looks even more prominent in black-and-white!" 

8/21/2020. "This photo was taken at our home. We have created a garden of many plants, trees, and shrubs, with origins in many parts of the world. We have several varieties of Hibiscus. This was ready to flower, but it held back while a thunderstorm passed through. As soon as the heavy rain stopped, early in the morning, this was the first bloom to appear." 

8/28/2020. "We live near a lake in Davie County. There are several resident Blue Herons, but I saw a migrating juvenile Tricolored Heron last week when walking on a trail by the creek that feeds into the lake."
