GOP Bill On Immigrant Jobs Up For House Vote

Toilet-Paper Thief Returns 80 Rolls To University
The holidays bring out the spirit of giving, and giving back ... what you've pilfered. Like the recent story about a 1930s silver-trimmed teapot returned to the Waldorf-Astoria, this morning brings a tale of toilet paper. Eastern New Mexico University received a gift box filled with 80 rolls of toilet paper, and a Christmas card apologizing for stealing rolls from a dorm years ago.
Woman Turns To Facebook To Help Find Beloved Hat
The floppy brown hat belonged to Bridget Hughes' late mother, who wore it during cancer treatment. Hughes lost it at the Phoenix airport this week, and asked friends on Facebook to help her find it. Her post has been shared over 100,000 times.
Golf's Storied St. Andrews Old Course Gets Facelift
Scotland's St. Andrews is sacred ground for golfers, often referred to as the "birthplace of golf." Renee Montagne and David Greene tell us about a major announcement — the first changes to the club's "Old Course" in about 70 years. The goal is to make it more challenging before the next British Open at St. Andrews in 2015.
Egypt's Constitution Vote Mired In Controversy

Mohammed Morsi was dismissed by many Egyptians when he stood in the country's first free election after the ouster of the Mubarak regime. Morsi was seen as lacking charisma and was referred to as the Muslim Brotherhood's spare tire, since he wasn't the group's first choice for president. But Morsi has been able to rock the system. He ousted Egypt's top generals, reshuffled the military ranks and now picked what appears to be the perfect time to override the courts and push through a constitution.

A Night Of Spectacle In New York City
A couple of bright moments in a city still recovering from a dark storm: On Staten Island, people were startled by the dreamlike spectacle of two men chasing an escaped zebra and pony down the street — with lassos. And in Manhattan, Rockefeller Center lit up with 45,000 lights — on an 80-foot Christmas tree.
