N.C. offering up to $25,000 rewards for unsolved Triad murders

Governor Josh Stein says the state is offering rewards for information leading to arrests in a trio of unsolved murders in the Triad.
In February of 2022, 14-year-old Jakaylen Chambers was found suffering from a gunshot wound in Greensboro. According to law enforcement, just prior to the shooting, Chambers was inside a home on McPherson Street playing video games.
This is one of two Guilford County unsolved homicides that the governor’s office is seeking information leading to arrest and conviction on. The other case is that of 49-year-old John Boone, who was deaf and non-verbal, and was discovered dead from a gunshot wound in High Point.
The reward amount for each is up to $25,000.
In Davidson County, a reward is being offered for information related to the murder of Nancy Grubert-Harvey.
In 2013, the 52-year-old was found deceased at the Atlanta Car Company in Lexington.
