Fisherman off the coast of Norway encountered a beluga whale with "Equipment of St. Petersburg" inscribed on its harness. Researchers think the beluga may be a Russian spy in training.

The harness read "Equipment St. Petersburg." A researcher told CNN that the whale was probably trained by Russia's navy. He said they've "been known to train belugas to conduct military operations."

Laos is known as the "Land of a Million Elephants." But after decades of loss of habitat, there are fewer than 1,000 left. Now those remaining may be endangered by a Chinese-backed rail line.

Quentin Geant, California branch manager of Beeopic, works with his father Nicolas Geant to care for the nearly 180,000 bees on top of Paris' Notre Dame Cathedral. The bees survived last week's fire.

Notre Dame's beekeeper thought the 180,00 bees on the cathedral's roof were done for. He told The Associated Press he was "so relieved" when he saw satellite photos that showed they survived.
