Hurricane Florence To Test FEMA, Trump Administration
The president and emergency management officials say they're ready for the storm and its aftermath, but the effort has gotten off to a bumpy start.
Gov. Roy Cooper sounded the alarm on Hurricane Florence once again Wednesday in a televised appearance with members of his emergency management team.
North Carolina's governor says he'll keep seeking federal aid for more than a dozen western counties damaged by flooding, landslides and mudslides in the spring.
So far, the federal government has given more than half a million dollars to assist local tornado victims in Guilford and Rockingham Counties.
