Guilford County Association of Educators

The Guilford County Association of Educators led a rally Thursday afternoon advocating for the county board of commissioners to include more money for the public school system in its proposed budget. 

A local public schools staff union is petitioning the Guilford County Schools Board of Education for more funding for salaries and wages.

Philips Foundation has pledged its largest donation ever toward a new education initiative in Guilford County.  The Foundation has earmarked $5 million to the Say Yes To Education.

The Guilford County Board of Education wants state legislators to allow certain undocumented immigrants to qualify for in-state tuition.
