With new momentum for same-sex marriage from the Supreme Court, gays and lesbians are hoping for progress in another sphere — the workplace. In 29 states, it's still legal to fire someone because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Congress is again considering legislation to ban that.

Zimmerman is the neighborhood watch volunteer in Florida accused of killing unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin. American Soldier Pleads Guilty In Afghan Massacre

Army Sgt. Robert Bales pleaded guilty Wednesday to killing 16 Afghan civilians in a nighttime massacre. Audie Cornish talks with NPR's Martin Kaste, who listened to Sgt.
