Macy's Herald Square celebrated the unveiling of its 2016 Christmas windows titled "Believe" in November. On Wednesday, the chain announced plans to try to recover from a weak holiday shopping season.

The department store chain says it's eliminating more than 10,000 jobs and will proceed with plans to close 68 stores that are part of 100 closings announced in August.
