At the event Gov. Josh Stein told the crowd, which included all of the state’s U.S. senators and representatives, that President Trump’s trade policies will hurt North Carolina families and businesses. 

The North Carolina Department of Transportation was selected to host this year’s nationwide campaign. Last week, Governor Josh Stein proclaimed April as Work Zone Awareness Month.

The Commission sets program priorities and makes recommendations to the governor for grant awards, with the goal of reducing crime and enhancing public safety.
