Author, Modern Love Essayist Amy Krouse Rosenthal Dies At 51

Rosenthal won hearts with her children's book and memoirs — and broke them with her essay announcing her terminal illness, a Modern Love piece called "You May Want To Marry My Husband."

Together with her sisters, she formed the group Sister Sledge, which was still touring. The band's publicist said they have not yet determined a cause of death and that she had not been ill.

Valentin became one of the pre-eminent flutists in Latin jazz, known for his creative combination of fusion, pop and R&B. Valentin died Wednesday of complications from a stroke, his manager said.

Dave Valentin, pictured on the cover of his 1981 album Pied Piper, died Wednesday at the age of 64.

Osborne wrote a column for The Hollywood Reporter, kept the official history of the Academy Awards and was the primetime host of TCM.
